keep in mind that i use the blot powder on foundation too. i don't want to get too cakey.Mac cosmetics powder question?
The blot powder is simply to take away any shine on your face. It is not a finishing powder at all.


For example you put on foundation right? Normally with a foundation you use a powder on top of it to seal the foundation. A blot powder would not do that. You would need any actually powder for you skin UNLESS you bough a foundation with a powder combined (i.e. MAC Studio Tech). So unless you have super oily skin or you just want to touch up without adding more makeup then that's what you would use the blot powder for.Mac cosmetics powder question?
I think the Blotting Powder looks fine on its own but it's not a heavy powder. It's made to soak up oil during the day while you're wearing a foundation. I would wear normal foundation and then use the blot powder to touch up 2-3 times a day.
It works great as a finishing powder too in my opinion. But I must say I prefer to use MSF Natural as a finishing powder and keep the blot one to control shine without adding color.
