Which MAC product is best for lips? I was thinking of buying the lip glass but want to make sure its worth the $14. Any other suggestions let me know! Thanks!

if you want plum lips, try plushglass. it's a lip plumper that comes in different shades. i have 3 of them and i love them all! they make your lips look full and give an incredible shine! they are a little but more than the tinted lipglass (i think) but it is definitely worth it!MAC Cosmetics for lips...?

I have celiac disease. Can lip balms, lotions, and other skin/cosmetic treatments that contain gluten be harmf?

Personally I am not a believe in any kind of plastic surgery. But maybe we have a certain feature we dont want to pass on to our kids. But that's not for us to choose. I'm sure you are very beautiful. So dont be thinking about having surgery. It's scary. It's not you. Everyone is beautiful or can be.

But the eye makeup remover was the best I have ever bought! It didn't sting my eyes at all and it was very convenient to use (permoistened pads). So yes, I would say that it is worth the$1.00!!

I love it. It really plumps the lips. I'd estimate that it makes them a good 15% larger. As far as long term results, I doubt that is true. It does irritate the area to which it is applied, which is how it works. Also, it is not sticky.

Well I do not work for sephora but I should because I have used enough products. I use lip injection extreme everyday at work (reapplying it several times a day) and at night (reapplying it several times a night) so all in all I reapply it about 40-50 times a day and seriously go through a bottle a month. There is no bad side effects and I'am an RN, there would have been a list of possible side effects listed, by law there would have to be. The only thing you must be careful of is getting the stuff outside of the lip line as it can irritate the skin around your lips. When the directions say AM/PM its just a way of giving directions like on the back of a shampoo bottle when it says 'follow with conditioner.' You don't have to actually do it that way unless there is a warning on it that says 'caution: not following with conditioner will result in permanent hair loss' ;) So they are basically saying use when you get up in the morning and at night, but if you use it more there is no medical or scientific reason why that is a problem! Besides the plumpness you get right away is best maintained by using consistently throughout the day. So use away sweetie! 2) eyeshadow stays on very good, will most likely stay on all day if you dont poke at it
3) all over cover stick- get a very small brush to apply this, like a very small paint brush [but for makeup], the one I have is white, from ELF also.
4) pressed powder compact, DEFENETLY recommended by me, Im tone 2, and It acctually stays on, and will keep your foundation on under it! a+ (:
5) never tried the concealer, but I''d give it a try, because all of there products are great!

Don't get any face makeup, like the cover stick, pressed powder, or concealer. It will clog your pores terribly, after all, the makeup is cheap for a reason: it's made of cheap ingredients.
Any brushes, eye makeup, or lip makeup should be fine. I have tried a few different eye makeups and lip makeups from E.L.F. and they were pretty decent. Just don't expect any lasting power from any of the products.
Total Face Brush: This is one of my daily brushes. I use it as my finishing brush.
Butternut: LOOOOVE IT! This was one of my first elf quad eyeshadow and I think it really pigmented and it's a nice neutral quad. my favvv.
All over Cover stick, pressed powder, concealer: I wouldn't recommend anything for you face from the $1 section. If you want something for your face i'd recommend to get it from the Studio line ($3). It's wayyy better.
Let's put it this way if elf was the last makeup on earth, I would not use makeup. I don't use cheap makeup, I only use middle to high end brands. In my opinion cheap makeup makes you look cheap. It's like wearing a $5 dress to a formal event thinking, ';nobody will notice'; . Yeah right.

Do cosmetics have an expiry date? For liquid ones especially, like moisturizer, lip gloss?
I'm talking about okay brands here, like the FaceShop, Body Shop, Clinique. i have used for about 3 years, is it okay? what's the max. keep date?Do cosmetics have an expiry date? For liquid ones especially, like moisturizer, lip gloss?
Honestly, I have never exactly followed the rules of the expiration dates on makeup. Now, it is said that there are bacterias that can grow in the powders, but I have never had an issue and neither has anyone else that I have ever know.
Still, I do try to follow proper storage rules for makeup by making sure that the they're stored in a cool area and sealed tightly.
This excludes mascaras and eyeliners because I like to have fresh ones to line my eye.
The average quoted time for powders is two years expiry and mascaras/eyeliners are 3 to 4 months.
Liquid foundations are 3 to 4 months, while lipsticks/lip gloss are one to two years.
I have switched to those bare escentuals eye shadows that come in the little pots and their is no way I'd throw away all that powder after two years.Do cosmetics have an expiry date? For liquid ones especially, like moisturizer, lip gloss?
I never follow any set date on cosmetics.And,most don't even have a set date printed on them!
If a product like lip gloss smells good,and will go on fine when you test it on a finger,it should be fine.If a lipgloss has a sour smell when you open it,or is seperating inside the tube,then it's time to throw it out.
As for what you asked...yes,I have used some lipglosses 3 years after getting them.Others I have had to throw away less than 1 year after getting them.It varies.

You'll need a super-flat eyeliner brush for this (MAC, Sephora and Aveda have great brushes). Get the brush a little damp and dab in dark eyeshadow (black, brown or deep jewel-tones work great). Wiggle the brush into your lash line focusing on the space between your lashes, then sweep the color just above your lash line.
鈥rushes Wash every 2-3 months in a mild detergent
鈥ponges Wash weekly and discard monthly
鈥oundation Check the ingredients: A water-based foundation will last up to 12 months, oil-based will last up to 18 months. You may find you need two different shades of foundation each year: One for summer when your skin is naturally darker and one for winter when you're lighter. Extra tip: If your water-based foundation dries out before it's expiration date, simply add a few drops of alcohol-free toner and shake to mix it in. No need to do this to oil-based foundations. Because they contain oil, they will tend to separate. You have to shake anyway.
鈥ip liner Up to 3 years. Extra tip: Skip the push-up lipliners. They're expensive, tend to break and you never really know how much you have left until you run out. No need to spend money on lip liners, there's no secret to greatness for this product. Save your money for powders and foundation.
鈥ipstick Some experts say 1-2 years. Others say up to 4 years. What everyone agrees on is that if it smells rancid, throw it out, it's spoiled. Extra tip: If you store lipstick in the refrigerator, it will last longer. Bonus tip: Want your lipstick to last longer during the day? Shade in lips with lip liner before applying lipstick.
鈥ascara This product expires the fastest: Throw out after 4 months. Extra tip: If you don't want your mascara to expire faster than its fresh date, don't pump the wand in and out -- you're only exposing the product to drying air.
鈥ail Polish Up to 12 months, depending on the quality and how many times you take it on a plane (the cap always unscrews on me during flights, leaving my purse a -- fume-y -- mess!).

Honestly, I have never exactly followed the rules of the expiration dates on makeup. Now, it is said that there are bacterias that can grow in the powders, but I have never had an issue and neither has anyone else that I have ever know.
Still, I do try to follow proper storage rules for makeup by making sure that the they're stored in a cool area and sealed tightly.
This excludes mascaras and eyeliners because I like to have fresh ones to line my eye.
The average quoted time for powders is two years expiry and mascaras/eyeliners are 3 to 4 months.
Liquid foundations are 3 to 4 months, while lipsticks/lip gloss are one to two years.

Are teens interested in vegan, vegetarian, eco friendly, animal friendly, organic, etc lip balm/cosmetics?
I want to start a line of cosmetics which are organic, eco friendly, and cruelty free mainly lipbalm. I even have vegan alternatives. A 1/2 oz tin of vegan. lipbalm would be about 1.50-2.00
1/2 oz of vegetarian would be about 3.00
A glass jar instead of tin would be like 50 cents more.
A chap stick form would be about 2.50 for vegan. and 3.50 for vegetarian
Each one is has fragrance and the chapstick wax is the most expensive followed by the vegg then vegan. Do you think this is reasonable since its all eco friendly, organic, and cruelty free? Don't start your own line unless you have something super revolutionary, which I don't think you do. This whole ';green'; thing seems like just a trend. From a teen, I really wouldn't care. I mean, it would be a plus to the product, but if it is expensive it wouldn't go for me. There are plenty of animal cruelty free products now, so that would just be a given fact and I never even knew that vegetarians and vegans couldn't use chapsticks. The lipbalm idea is good, but why don't you try adding some colour into it, to make it a coloured lipbalm? That way, I think there will be more popularity and it will have another plus added to the product.

Our lipstick has seed oil in it so it's more moist then other lipsticks.
In addition to that all of our products (including our make up) are:
Botanically Based
Ph Correct
Dermatologist tested
Never tested on Animals
Contains no animal products or by-products
Contains no mineral oil
Hypoallergenic

i just bought the palladio herbal plum n shine gloss...this is the first time i bought any plumper for my lips..i bought the first paladio plump n shine gloss a few days ago and tried it 2,3 times..it was not bad.so i considered buying another one ..last nite i went to the same store to buy another piece..and when i tried it at home..i felt my upper lip swelled n stiffed up a bit..is it normal and all of the lip plumpers do this?and till when its plumping action will last? my lips are not swelled now in morning but are a bit stiff..has anyone tried palladio cosmetics before?please tell me..Palladio herbal cosmetics...lip plumper?

have them in delicious flavors. fruity is usually popular. have them in different colors that can attract buyers. you can even add glitter to some, but not too much. also have those solid colors also, and those nice clear colors. make sure the packaging is nice too. you can try to make flavors that you havent seen yet out there but are really nice and you would know girls would love it. make sure it smells good too.
have them to be long lasting. thats a good one. and make sure its not tested on animals or whatever. make it not sticky. stickiness is so annoying.

Definitely good smells/tastes. Nothing worse than a lip gloss that looks good but tastes/smells nasty. I love Burt's Bees products, because they smell/taste/feel really nice. Something like that maybe? And - skip the glitter. I'm pretty sure that fad is over. Best of luck!!! :)

That's what a lot of people want, most of us hate it when we have to keep reapplying our lip gloss, or when the lip gloss is so sticky, that if the wind blows, and our hair touches the lip gloss, it sticks to it, and when you remove your hair, you would have to touch it up again.

um i think definitely you should have colored lip gloss. not just clear and make it really thick and juicy! i dont know if this is possible but you could experiment with lip gloss that lasts longer. i hate replaying over and over again through the day.

Where can I search the ingredients in lip cosmetics?
My dermatologist told me that I had contact dermatitis which affected my lips and around my mouth. And he said to avoid SPF and Lanolin in any lip cosmetics. I want to buy a lip gloss but I'm scared to use them coz I don't want to break out again. They don't label them with the ingredients so now I'm trying to research it but no luck. I went to WebMD but I couldn't find anything on there. So, does anybody know what website I need to go to? My husband is in the Army so I go to the army hospital and unfortunately I can't just call my dermatologist to ask questions lolWhere can I search the ingredients in lip cosmetics?

For females who are in boot camp are they allowed to bring basic cosmetics like powder, lip gloss...ect?

You'll have a good time though cause you all will be suffering together and you'll make some lifelong friends as well as experience different cultures. My hair is very long, it reaches the small of my back. My trick is to put in a pony tail, braid the ponytail, put another tie on the end, then twist the whole thing around in a bun, applying another hairtie around the whole bun. It's neat, and won't budge.

I have looked in Target and a few other drug stores, but all they seem to carry are the cosmetic cases or vanity sets. They are pretty good. They are inexpensive and fun to use. The price is the best and I usually like higher priced cosmetics...but I do like the Wet %26amp; Wild lips and eye products too. Enjoy!

I've heard so many good things about mac face makeup and so many bad things as well. I have oily, acne prone skin and I am tired of constantly blotting it with oil absorbing sheets. I am thinking about getting these products from the Mac counter but I need some feedback of ur experiences! I am getting:
Studio Fix powder foundation
Select Cover Up (for zits)
Blot powder ( to control shine and oil)
Maybe; the prep and prime: is it nessacary and does it work?

I would say deffinatly get the prep and prime!
I've stopped getting breakouts because it covers my skin in a film that you can't see or feel and so stops all the products getting into your skin and causing spots.
It's a must have for me as i use it everyday.
For me the mineralise skinfinish natural is better than the studio fix powder because it's better for the skin.
The face and body foundation would also be good if you prefer liquid foundation.
I use them both and my skin stays matt all day.

MAC does have very good products. I like the prep+prime (with SPF). it helps to control the shine REALLY well. my skin is matt the whole day. if i do not wear it, my skin will turn oily in 3 hours.
if u have oily skin like me, the studio fix liquid will work better for u as powder encourage oil secretion.
however, i feel that for foundations, clinque and estee lauder does better in terms of oil control. the best I have used so far are clinque superfit and estee lauder doublewear foundation. even chanel and dior can't beat that.

try them out on your own. you know your skin best.

Is Cosmetic Grade Hydrogen Peroxide (3%) good for your skin or has anyone tried ettas skin bleaching powder???
Hydrogen Peroxide breaks into free radicals. (Free radicals are what cause skin damage and wrinkles.) I do not recommend it for use on the face at all.

I use mac also and love the studio fix. I had to go in and have a session with one of their make up artist's. It was great had fun. But found out that I have to have a summer and winter one. I am only a shade darker during the summer but it is a difference. It does have spf in it but sometimes I forget to put it on and I am out in the sun so much, I know very bad but still! Plus you should change out your make up every 6 months anyway, health reason, bacteria...wash your brushes constantly and sponges, so having a summer and winter shade is not so bad?
Have fun with it!! Plus once you find your shad you can also buy them online...ebay has a great selection, most of the time and not bad prices!!
